Find Unused VDAs Script

Find Unused Citrix VDAs Script.

Description: This script finds and reports to text file Citrix XenApp or XenDesktop VDAs which have not been logged on to for a defined period of time. This is helpful when determining VDAs that are now unused and can be reassigned or decommisioned.

Instructions: To avoid failure, run PowerShell as an administrator with atleast Read Only Citrix administrator permissions. Run this script from a Delivery Controller.

    hi when we download and try to extract the zip file it shows invalid file format…can you please look in to this asap.

      I have tested here and there is no problem? What program are you using to extract the .zip folder? Send screenshot of the error if you like to george@jgspiers.com

    when i am trying to extract the the zip files i.e Desktop size estimator now it is giving error like can’t open it as archive……using 7 zip and unused VDA is working fine now thanks alot.

    same here , I getting an error the compression zipped folder xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx\findunusedVDAs.zip is invalid, the zip is one 1kb size

      Upgrade WinZip or try WinRAR.

        i never did, but i think the script needs changed. the get-brokerdesktop is deprecated so idk if we need to replace it with get-brokermachine instead… what do you think?

        im using 7.15 LTSR, its LastConnectionUser, NOT LastConnectedUser
