A list containing the majority of Citrix Licensing support articles collated to make this page a one stop place for you to search for and find information regarding any issues you have with the product and its related dependencies.

The page is updated daily with new support articles and information. Articles will change from time and if information here is outdated or incorrect please let me know using the comments. Links may also expire or change so if you find broken links, please again let me know. For each issue, known product versions affected are recorded however that does not mean product versions that aren’t listed are not affected.

Communication fails when securing licensing communication between XenDesktop (DDC) 7.9 and the License Server using TLS v1.2 or TLS v1.1. This is a known bug and you must upgrade to XenDesktop 7.11+ and License Server 11.14+. XenDesktop 7.9. https://support.citrix.com/article/CTX222821
When running "lmstat -a" from CMD you are returned an error "Error getting status: Cannot find license file". Run command "lmstat -a -c PathToLicenseMyFilesDirectory" Citrix Licensing 11.9 to 11.12. https://support.citrix.com/article/CTX129745
When browsing to the Citrix Licensing Manager console a generic Firefox error appears. Perform a hard refresh (CTRL+F5). License Server 11.14 build 19005 and Firefox.
On the VDA you see Event ID 1050 "Connection validation failed on domain for user for reason 'Unlicenses'". This is caused by the Delivery Controllers not trusting the Citrix License Server when configured for HTTPS communication. This can be due to the License Server certificate expiring. https://support.citrix.com/article/CTX228131
Within Citrix Studio under "Configuration -> Licensing" you see error message "Previous upload to citrix.com failed" and "Uploader failed for reason 'Network error while connecting to citrix.com' with code 5". This error appears when CEIP uploads to citrix.com fail and can be due to the presence of a network proxy that provides no connectivity to citrix.com. https://support.citrix.com/article/CTX208809
Within Citrix Studio under "Configuration -> Licensing" you see error message "Previous upload to citrix.com failed" and "Uploader failed for reason 'Network error while connecting to citrix.com' with code 6". Delete all files from "C:\Program Files (x86)\Citrix\Licensing\LS\resource\usage", delete "upload_result.xml" from "C:\Program Files (x86)\Citrix\Licensing\LS\recource\cache" and restart the following services: "Citrix Web Services for Licensing, Citrix Licensing Support Services and Citrix Licensing".
The License Server clock is not synchronised with the Delivery Controller, which may cause it to not work properly. Make sure the time between License Server and Delivery Controller is within 5 minutes. https://support.citrix.com/article/CTX235232
The License Server certificate is not in the Delivery Controllers trusted root certificate store. This will impact Citrix Studio and Director from displaying information about the License Server. Add the certificate to the trusted root store of each Delivery Controller. https://support.citrix.com/article/CTX235235
CITRIX.opt is not present in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Citrix\Licensing\MyFiles\directory". Make sure it is present as it is required for proper operation of the License Server. https://support.citrix.com/article/CTX235233
License Server fails with error 1722 "There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected". Rename file 'concurrent_state.xml' to 'concurrent_state.xml.old' and restart the 'Citrix Licensing' service. The file can be found under 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Citrix\Licensing\LS\conf'. https://support.citrix.com/article/CTX213492
